Local delivery and pickup

Cater locally with flexible delivery and pickup options

Opportunities to expand your reach are closer than you think: right in your local community. Make it easy for local customers to shop in your store with pickup and local delivery options.

Grow your local audience and your business

61% of consumers prefer shopping locally. By providing local shipping solutions, you can take advantage of:

Enhanced customer convenience

Let customers choose when to receive orders

A loyal local community

Attract customers who support local

Faster fulfillment

Quicker deliveries over shorter distances

Lower costs

Minimize shipping and transport expenses overall

Set up a local delivery zone for eligibility

Only customers within a specific area will be able to see the local delivery option at checkout to avoid any confusion.

Select an area on the map for local delivery availability

Choose a designated area on the map where customers are eligible for local delivery. If they fall outside this radius, they will not qualify for local delivery at checkout.

Limit local delivery area by ZIP/Postal code

You can refine local delivery by ZIP/postal codes. Specify the codes within your area, and only customers occupying those codes will be eligible for local delivery.

Provide order pickup details at checkout

Customers can choose to pick up their orders instead of waiting for it to be delivered to them.

Give clear instructions for pickup

Specify the address where customers can pick up their orders, and explain how and when customers can collect their purchases.

Apply pickup charge if necessary

If providing pickup adds to your expenses, (for example, if you have to bring the product to the pickup spot), you can include a pickup fee. This fee will be added to their total at checkout.

Adjust delivery charges by zone to cover costs

Charge varying delivery charges depending on location, weight, or subtotal of an order to ensure you cover additional costs.

Conditional free delivery: Offer free delivery to orders that exceed a certain amount, e.g. for orders $100+

Flat rate: Charge a fixed sum for delivering orders to your local customers

Custom rate: Apply fees based on weight, e.g. $15 fee for orders exceeding 3kg

Let customers select preferred pickup times

Customers opting for pickup can conveniently choose their preferred date and time.

Set a restriction so customers can pick up an order no later than a certain date (ex: 1 month after order)

Set blackout dates that customers cannot select (e.g. when your store is closed)

View all pickup details in the email your receive for the order

Limit local delivery options

Create requirements for accepting local delivery to guarantee that it remains profitable for your business.

Only allow local delivery if order is over a certain amount

Offer local delivery to customers whose subtotal is over a certain amount, such as orders over $30, to ensure it is worth the trip.

Tailor payment methods for local delivery

Implement specific payment options for local delivery such as cash on delivery for added convenience.

Customize checkout options exclusively for pickup

Set restrictions at checkout for order pickup to ensure the option is in line with your bottomline:

Allow pickup for specific products only

You can offer pickup only for certain products in your store. For instance, if an item is too big for shipping.

Limit payment methods for pickup

Restrict payment options for pickups. For example, allow cash payments upon pickup and disable credit card payments.

Let customers select preferred delivery times

Customers opting for local delivery can conveniently choose when they’d like to receive their package.

Ask for date and time of local delivery

Set blackout dates that customers cannot select (e.g. when your store is closed)

Add order fulfillment times (e.g. if their order will only be ready in one hour, they cannot select delivery before that time)
